Research Transparency Policy
Foro Internacional is committed to methodological diversity, transparency, and reproducibility of published research. To ensure these principles, authors must adhere to the following requirements:
-
Research design and process of information and data analysis. Authors must transparently explain the research design employed and the process followed to reach their arguments and conclusions. This includes a clear description of the procedures for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting qualitative or quantitative data; an explanation of the criteria and assumptions used to validate or refute arguments; and proper citation of the data, materials, and sources of information used.
-
Online appendices. Independent of the type of methodology employed, accepted articles may include online appendices that detail the procedures for collecting, coding, and analyzing quantitative or qualitative information and data.
-
Replication materials. For articles presenting quantitative analyses, authors must deposit the materials necessary to replicate the results--including data, code, and execution instructions--in a repository.
-
Availability of information and data. When authors are unable to provide quantitative or qualitative data due to ethical, legal, privacy, or other reasons, they must explain why this information is unavailable to readers and provide as much detail as possible within the applicable ethical, legal, or privacy boundaries.
-
Funding and declaration of interests. Authors must transparently disclose all funding sources that supported the research, as well as any actual or potential conflicts of interest that might influence the interpretation of data or the research conclusions. This disclosure should appear as a footnote on the article's first page.
Adherence to these policies is crucial for upholding the principles of transparency, accessibility, and reproducibility that guide our journal and academic research in general. Authors who have questions about these policies should contact the editorial office.
