El Brexit y la relación entre el Reino Unido y la UE desde la perspectiva de un sistema adaptativo complejo

Resumen

La relación entre el Reino Unido y la Unión Europea (ue) ha sido descrita como incómoda, y el Brexit representa la cúspide de esta tensión. Este artículo recurre al marco de los sistemas adaptativos complejos y al modelo “contenedores, diferencias, intercambios” (cde por sus siglas en inglés) para entender el Brexit como un punto de inflexión en el patrón de la relación entre el Reino Unido y la ue, desde la integración diferenciada hasta la desintegración. Asimismo, de acuerdo con la teoría posfuncionalista, se argumenta que el “disenso restrictivo” que surgió desde la década de 1990 ha estado presionando tanto para una integración más diferenciada como, en última instancia, para la desintegración.

Angélica Saraiva Szucko, Universidad de Brasilia

Investigadora postdoctoral de la Universidad de Brasilia. Doctora en Relaciones Internacionales por la Universidad de Brasilia.

Doctorado en Relaciones Internacionales de la Universidad de Brasilia. Hizo una pasantía de doctorado en Université Sorbonne Nouvelle - Paris 3 de septiembre / 2019 a marzo / 2020. Su investigación se centra en la relación Reino Unido-UE en el contexto de la integración europea y los caminos que llevaron al Brexit. También está interesada en enfoques diferenciados de (des) integración.
