Abstract

The aim of this paper is to analyze the modes of political participation by Israeli Arab citizens during the electoral process that began in November 2012 and ended with the elections held on January 23, 2013. It addresses their principal ideological and party trends, identity traits and the conflict between their Palestine nationality and Israeli citizenship, and sets out the discriminatory policies they suffer in the Jewish state.
